After reading around here on the forums, Iv actully found 2 completely diffrent problems.
We have the one that when the GPU reaches 96C, it throttles to keep temps down
    and
we have the one that stutters anyway independent of temps.

I thnk these 2 problems are 2 completely diffrent and should be looked at diffrently. Iv had the first problem, but solved it by undervolting my CPU (and lifting lappy up). The other problem is something completely other.

Please correct me if Iv got something wrong.

Sorry for lifting an old thread again but I believe it to be important since people still tend to suffer from this problem.

thomas: I take it from your signature that you gave up and never found a solution to the problem?

sprint: I've been thinking in the same direction that you have, it's a matter of two problems and not one.

as for me the problem with the stuttering is permanent and no solutions in this thread or solutions from linked threads have helped so far.
It's quite obvious that there is a problem existing when I can't even run Counter-Strike (yeah that's right, CS...not CS source) without constant stuttering and frame-rate drops from 100 down to 15 as soon as I move.

Right now I'm gonna try the newest bios and official zepto-drivers so I'll report back right after I've updated. I don't think there will be any difference tho :(

@ zepto, have you gotten any closer to finding the problem for this since you last posted?
Have you been able to reproduce the problem on one of your testmachines?

I was wondering if someone having this stuttering issue could make a short in-game video showing the problem.
In fact I tried the new 175.19 drivers and I thought they produced stuttering in PES2008 only to discover it was a problem of Performance on Dmeand profile in RMClock...-so now back to maximal performance all the time =))

actually the newest drivers from zepto seems to have solved the problem. But I can't say if it's a permanent solution or not since we've heard of earlier cases where the problem at first was fixed but then came back.

Will report back after more extensive testing with Age of Conan and some other games.

ohh and the 175.19 drivers didn't work very well for me, had stuttering with them.
