    Hi all,
Sorry for the question, but I've been looking around for about an hour and I still don't know whether the fn + Zz button combination on my zepto 6224 makes my computer hibernate or just go into standby mode.
I thought hibernate, but the more I searched the more I started doubting.
I have XP Pro if that's at all relevant.
    Thanks!

Heyy you can view it if you go to the powermanagement screen in your configuration menu.

    Also you can change it.

Standby will have 1 led on if I am right. When using Hibernate, you will see a memory dump screen before go into hibernating. :)

It was standby to me as default, all the three buttons was standby (power button, sleep button and closing lid). You should find it in control panel and power options

In Vista's Power Options, select "Do what the power buttons do".

    Zz is the sleep button.

Vista has no progress bar for the hibernation (most annoying omission).

I found it after all, right under my nose of course.
It's in control panel; power options under the advanced tab, you can select what the computer does for the sleep button, lid closing, ...
    In xp, at least.
    Thanks for the help!

So would hibernate be okay for during nights, day in day out?
Doesn't seem like much of a time gainer compared to just booting anyways.

I strongly recommend hibernation and I've been using it for years (it is usually more robust than sleep). It means I can get back to where I was without having to open applications and try to remember what I was doing. And resume is faster than the OS boot-up once you have got a few extras on board.

Unless I am doing software changes which demand a reboot, normally I try to reboot about once a week. At the moment I am having to reboot more often due to some bugs in my 6024W. I hope they will be fixed before too long.

Yeah remember to reboot sometimes, or your Zepto will get slow. (Allways when you hibernate it saves info about your session. When this gets big, the comp goes slow :) )
