Hi everyone, Im just wondering how the driver support from zepto is for xp 64bit?
I've looked around on the support FTP and found that vista has seperated folders for 32bit and 64bit, and that XP dont! does that mean that winxp 64bit is still really really badly supported ? or does the 64bit vista driver work for things like audio, touchpad and so on, in xp 64bit?
Thanks.

The Vista 64bit drivers do not work in XP 64bit (as far as I know).
We do not support XP 64bit on our machines, so any problems that may arise under XP 64bit we do not support in any kind or form. -
And don't get mad, because XP 64-bit sucks anyway
-
I use xp 64 at work every day, and it doesnt suck at all. It actually handle alot of programs better than vista does. Only because its XP and not vista.
but that sounds really bad......
*edit*
Okay I admit.. the liking of xp 64 is very split, but i think I will give it a try and if everything fails, eventually try out vista aswell. My problem is, lots of programs still have alot better performance in xp than vista, not only talking games, but also heavy software like 3d studio max and video editing software. -
What I actually mean, is that the developers gave up the drivers for XP-64 bit long ago, because there weren't any real performance gains in 64-bit. So there's no real development. How is that good
?
Now Vista 64-bit, there's some development, and there'll be much more, because 64-bir architecture has matured and the drivers as well. -
point taken... quite true what you mention. the drivers currently out proberly will be the only ones out for good.

Yep XP Pro x64 was great, I then migrated to Vista x64 which is now great
You should be able to get 90% of the drivers required from the specs in your sig. -
Thanks for the reply's I am however going to test out Xp 64 before vista 64, because still... XP runs alot of things smoother than vista unless you have a really powerful machine, so you wont notice the difference between 110 fps and 150 fps. But its not without matter if you run ex. games at 35 fps or 55 fps
Also my experience is that many of the CG programs still havnt adapted 100% to vista, like 3ds max. Runs wierdly slow on vista.

It doesn't matter whether it's 110 or 150fps. Because you're not going to see more than 60, NO MATTER how powerful your graphics card is. Because your screens refresh rate is a limitation, and that is 60Hz for almost every notebook screen
-
well we all know that technical stuf doenst really apply when it comes to feeling when gaming. Maybe the eyes can only see the 60 hz but you surely can feel the difference when gaming if you are running 50-60 or 100+. And in games you surely can get more than 60 fps on a 60hz screen. disable V-sync? my Wow runs 100+ ½ the time.
