so my right shift key is working very poorly since a couple of weeks ago. would it be possible to maybe solve it by just taking the key cap off and seeing if theres some dirt or other interacting with the key press?

if so, how would one go about taking this cap off? they feel kinda weak, and dont wanna end up breaking it, especially in case i'd have difficulties finding a new keyboard for it.

also, in case i would need a new keyboard, i saw in some thread that zepto used to sell them for about €6.60, would it still be possible to aquire a new one considering they gone bankrupt? are these keyboars somewhat universal?

    oh, its a 6324w.

    thank you.

I would be reluctant to pull one of those Zepto keyboards apart.

Zepto USA can probably sell you a US keyboard and, I assume, someone will eventually buy up all of Zepto DK's spare parts stock.

John, which didn't really have any 6000 series parts left, especially not keyboards from what I've heard.

Look for a Compal FL90/FL91/FL92 keyboard as that is the barebone model of the notebook itself. Then you will find the keyboard.

Yeah, keyboard wise they are the same (the FL90 and IFL90). Alternatively you could try and contact these resellers as i know they have had those models in stock, and might be able to get hold of a swedish keybaord for you:

    http://mm-vision.dk/
    http://www.bto.eu/

Worst case if you can't find one, then I have a used 3415W with a Swedish keyboard, but that would mean I would have to order a Danish keyboard for it first to replace it. But you are welcome to contact me if the other resellers doesn't have a solution for you.

Is it still possible to buy a new keyboard or keyboard parts? My F3 button broke a few days ago, and all zepto websites seems to be gone (not surprised). I have a Nox A15, and will need a danish version of the keyboard.

    Anyone got a suggestion?

btw, ReneSDK, are you Rene S that used to be a Zepto representant on here? You seem very well informed, and if you are from Zepto, then obviously you would know these things, I just dont want to end up with a keyboard that wont fit.

for anyone else in need, mm-vision got back to me today saying they got these keyboards, in danish only though.

    Frippo, you are correct.

I'm now employed at a new company in their IT department, so my visits here will be less frequent compared to earlier.
PM's og e-mails regarding support and help with Zepto products in general will not be answered because the general load on enqueries have been overwhelming for my part.
This experience has taught me one thing, and that is "keep quiet, and keep being anonymous no matter what you do, otherwise you will never get out of having been employed with this kind of thing". It has also taught me that customers will do anything in their power to get what they want (even break the personal sphere).
I've had customers calling me on my private phones, as if it was my company that had gone bankrupt, and they wanted answers about how to get their machines repaired or get spare parts. I've also had a person turning up on my doorstep wanting me to help him out fixing his computer, and then getting mad when I turned him down and closed the door.
Support customers and customers (a lot of them, not all) are roothless and I'm glad I've gotten away from the customer support and customers in my professional working life.

This is not meant as a rant, but just wanted to air that it has not in any way been a pleasant ride in the well over 3 years I was employed, and certainly not in the 3 months that came after the bankruptcy, where I just tried to be kind and help out the customers stranded regarding drivers.
The saying "Offer someone a finger and they take your whole hand" has in my case been "Offer someone a finger, and they take you whole upper body" :D

See ya around sometime.... maybe... maybe not... you never know...

    Have a good one.

Kudos Rene, for being such a sport.

Awfully sorry to hear, 'Zepto' has even affected your private life, well after it's demise.
The fact that you've tried to offer all the drivers to former customers, even when there wasn't any obligation to do so, speaks for itself.
Good luck with your new job.

Baserk (former, sometimes difficult and demanding, Zepto customer)

Well the post above wasn't meant as I wasn't ever coming back and checking the forums. Just that PM's about support won't be answered and that the Zepto forum isn't my main focus anymore (surprise :)). I still have a lot of things in my head in regards to issues, and how to solve them that might help once in a while. Just won't be as often as before.
I'm still using these forums (but mostly the Lenovo, Compal and Clevo forums as you might notice in the signature).

Baserk, don't worry. There have been a lot of customers much more demanding and difficult compared to you. You would die if you heard about how some people act.

Sorry to hear about that Rene, and thank you for still providing us with a bit of useful assistance. It is indeed frustrating that Zepto went bankrupt after having bought one, and I understand customers frustration, but there are limits and you are in no way liable at all. Everything you do for customers after the bankrupcy is just goodwill.

For others seeking a new keyboard, I've been in touch with a couple places, and this is what I've learned so far if its any help to anyone.

mm-vision.dk replied to my email saying they had DK keyboards.
marasst.com replied saying they had US keyboards stock, but also probably would be able to take in a SE one for me, with a 1.5 months wait (yikes!!) though. They would ship from Poland, and the price of the US keyboard would be 9.5 USD, I'm still waiting for a calculation of the total price of a SE keyboard with shipping included.

Just to make it clear, this is the Compal keyboard which I feel confident will fit just fine after Rene's input. :)

    It doesn't.
The 6615WD is an Inventec based barebone, so it will 100% not fit.

I checked Wikipedia, and from a layout-perspective the difference isn't that big. Biggest exception is that instead of having the Swedish letters imprinted on the right side of the keyboard, you will have different brackets and such imprinted on the buttons. Just remember: you are always free to change the actual layout so that pressing the button labled [ will return å (and vice versa).

If you do not require looking at the keyboard while typing, you wouldn't notice that much of a difference. But there might be a small learning-period if you don't remember all the special characters out-of-your-head, I guess :)

Provided the keyboard has the same number of keys (US keyboards tend to have one key less than European ones) then you can put stickers on the keys for your local language and tell Windows that it is your local language keyboard.

This might also work with a US keyboard except that you lose that extra key.

My main concern was with the hardware, different number of keys or different placings of them.

Well the main difference is that they key layout around the Ä and Ö are different and some of the special characters are placed differently. But that can be fixed with some stickers with the charaqcters you need.

I am very happy to find this thread as it gives me some newfound hope that my keyboard might be complete again. I got it into my head that I should clean my keyboard and the area beneath the keys. In the process I managed to break a few of the keys (4). I hope that someone could offer some advice on how I could acquire either a) 4 new keys b) a new keyboard.

The laptop is a White Mythos 15A
I live in Norway but ordering a keyboard with a different layout is not a problem as long as it fits. The keys that are gone are

    §
    pause
    right shift
backspace (yes this annoys me greatly)

This is how it the layout

My future is in your hands. I greatly appreciate any input.

The Nox, Mythos, Nexus, Anthea, Orion, G14, G15 keyboards are made specifically for those models, and are not available anywhere else.

    Hello

I am in a dire need for a Zepto znote 6214W keyboard, preferrably with a scandinavian layout.

    Thank you.
