The battery pack currently in my CF-28 is a blue-tab one. I've seen reference here to a mythical 'green' tab version. Are these actually different original Panasonic battery type indicators, or is one an original and the other an uprated aftermarket battery pack?

BTW those fancy really high capacity external battery packs being talked about in another thread are re-advertised again on the Bay of Evils.

    Craig.

I bought 3 of those green tabs early last year. They are awesome.

I have had 8 hours of battery life with a green tab + media bay battery.

If you can find one, I highly recommend getting it.

    I’m with Modly on this

It’s advisable to get the highest capacity in the series
The part # in the original production run has no letter code on the end and is usually the lowest capacity
The first revision will usually have an A on the end of the battery part number
And the second revision will have a B

The last revision higher capacity is the newest manufactured
So you have the best chance on a good durable battery

I've never seen a green one before, had a yellow one that worked pretty well though, Im sure its hard to find good green one just like the other colors these days all the batteries seem to suck now that they are getting older
