    1) Non-removable , so no upgrade
    2) post full model # ,I would like to confirm that you do not have bluetooth
    3) handwriting application ,not too sure on other items
    4) yes if you max out the ram

Tablet PC Edition is a superset of Professional Edition. This article pretty much captures the additional highlights of Tablet PC.

You can find a HOWTO installation guide for Windows 7 based on my installation experiences with my CF-18 "early" mk1. The easiest way to find that post is to view the stickied "Ultimate Toughbook Resource Thread," which provides a direct link.

As Alex said, max out the RAM. I was able to replace the existing module with a 1 GB module. I also replaced the original hard drive with a solid state drive. I did the drive swap back when I was running XP, and the SSD significantly improved boot time (the blue scrolling bars seen under the XP logo during bootup would only go across about twice).

If you're up to tackling a Windows 7 install, I'd say go for it.

    Happy installs, ;)

You can get the latest updates (Essentially turning your older XP Tablet PC Edition into Tablet Edition 2005) by installing SP2; but you CANNOT get full Tablet Integration/Functionality ANYWHERE ELSE but from a copy of Tablet PC or the correct Tablet PC restore disk.

Believe me, I'VE TRIED. Tablet PC has a bunch of stuff integrated into it intended to make it possible to operate a computer in "slate" mode; where you don't use a mouse or keyboard, just a stylus. For a MS product, it was actually surprisingly robust and well thought-out; if the hardware vendors had just dropped the price to a competitive range with conventional PCs, we could have seen them with MUCH wider user base by now.

I just checked http://www.config.toughbook.com/ and yours don't have bluetooth . On fleabay you can pickup an aftermarket GPS/BT kit if you really need one ($160.00) but myself a $3.00 BT dongle works for me.

There should be enough room inside for wwan/bluetooth/gps

Finding a stock bluetooth module might be an issue though
