I saw a post here not long ago from someone who said they could redo the extra batteries for the 28's. Anyone know who that was? Also I have alot of 28 and 18 batteries that need to be redone also...Thanks,Travis

DIY rebuilding is not recommended ,there is a controller chip built-in that prevents the battery from working once it flashes red , and if higher capacity cells are used it seems to foul-up and again flash red and not allow recharging

Both battery's are impossible to find new , other than the generic type

Someone here might have a heads up on a rebuild brand or generic type that lasts for more than a few months

    Btw Travis
Did you ever check to see if your cf-30 could take an internal wi-fi card ,like I suspected

I think we have covered this to some extent... Thought there is ALWAYS room for intelligent experimentation.

From what we have gathered... You must be able to reprogram the chip inside the battery PCB in order to tell the chip it has new batteries. Otherwise you can correctly wire, spot weld, etc, new batteries in an old battery... And it will STILL tell you it is old... and fail.

If you find a way... please let us know.
