Ok, what am I missing. A "new" 2nd battery for the media bay of a CF-29 is $40 on eBay. The same thing (but with lower capacity) for a CF-30 is $150 and up. Is there a technical reason - or just "market factors (g-r-e-e-d) at work?

I want one but had to settle for a 2nd regular battery.

They figure if you can afford a CF 30 you have a lot more money than us poor folks you can only afford tired used CF 29's.

Yes, sterlingunion has had a few of them on there the last few weeks. I think they had about 50 of them, sold 22 of them in this auction and the rest in the other 2...that was $40.00 shipped too, good deal.

Are they any good? The last batch of those I got, a couple of years ago, 3 out of 5 were good when they got here, 1 is still working. These are old batteries and they are not guaranteed. These big lots of rare batteries come out of dealers and distributers, who dump them because they have reached their expiration date. The CF-30 MB batteries are much newer.

I purchased one of the $40 CF-29 media bay batteries about 3 months ago and, so far (knock on magnesium) it's been great.
