I do believe that this is only a 16 bit color screen not 32, and no driver will make it work with 32 bit... maybe a mark 3 cf-28 would have a 32 bit screen? can anyone confirm that?

You can get 24bit true color on the Mk1, Make sure you have the correct driver from Panasonic. It is the Silicon Motion Linx EM.

My Mk3 has 32 bit color using the latest Intel 82830M driver. Goes up to 1280 x 1024 in 32 bit.

Theirs no way in hell... maybe if it spanned the screen it would do that, or maybe through the external connector to a normal monitor. but the most that the cf-28's (and 29/30 for that matter) can do is 1024x768 without scrolling

Yes you are correct, schoolboy error, goes to 1280 x 1024 on the external screen, 1024 x 768 on the laptop screen. DOH!!!

    Cheers
