I was checking out some Linux stuff and saw a post about 32bit being easier on the battery..
That you get more run time with 32bit.
Anyone do a comparison of Win7 32bit vs 64bit run time?
I am more curious about a CF19, due the the smaller battery, but I am interested in results for any Toughbook...

I can't see why it would be better. On my 19 MK5 W7 32BIT I get around 5-6 hours (screen set @ 70%) on a trip last year with GPS running..

I am not sure the real"quality" of my used batteries...My run time is not what I would expect it to be.

The poster said battery usage was higher due to more ram being used...More chips..more power..
I am sure one 4gb dimm would use less power than 2--4gb dimms. How much, I don't know. It may be insignificant.

It did make me curious though.. I imagine the CPU uses more power when running more processes, like a 64bit system does.
