I have a cf-72 with the latest video drivers installed. Ram and processor have been upgraded to max. I'm looking to somehow upgrade the video hardware maybe to a mini pci, pcmcia or usb.
Not looking to run games, I just got street atlas 2009 and it has a 3d screen that gives me a directx error whenever I try to open it. I'd love to go internal with a card but external whould work also.

there are no external cards.
download the latest version of dx from the microsoft site -
and there is no way at all to upgrade the video on a cf-72. it is soldered onto the mainboard.
as was said by jcovelli, dl the latest dx from ms. -
I installed the latest dx from ms but still have the same message -
create directx device failed with the error: not available
Can dx10 be installed in xp pro or will it only work with vista? My dx version shows 9 even after the latest download from ms. -
Technically DX 10 is only for Vista, but their are people that have it working on XP: http://www.technospot.net/blogs/download-directx-10-for-windows-xp-from-alky-project/
I don't recommend trying to get 10 on xp
3d acceleration & video board
