Would this work in a CF-29 caddy? Storage would be limited, but I have a netbook with 8 gigs so I've lived with that limitation before. If it would work, how big a hit would I take on speed compared to the stock 40 GB 4200 RPM drive?

Yes but that is MLC and this is SLC. From what I've read, SLC is much faster and better for the primary partition with the operating system.

In a CF-29 you are not going to see much if any difference in speed between the two, and between an 8GB and a 32GB.....

I had a High-End MLC Corsair P128 in my 29 for a bit, it was fast, should be even faster in my 19..

I'd guess it would be much faster than the STOCK 4200 drive; try it as your boot drive along with a fast usb stick or a HDD/CDROM adapter in the MP bay for data...

    SLC beats MLC EVERY TIME.

I am running XP pro, Streets and Trips, MS Office, and other programs, which takes up approximately 10 GB. You could do it but all you would have is a net book.
