I bought an Intel 6300 (450mW)WiFi card to upgrade my CF-30CAQAZBM and it has 3 antenna connections. I have read the post about adding a flag antenna to other models.
Has anyone ever tried this or have any possible ideas on a location in a CF-30?
I have an 8602+s in my 29 and it works great. I hope I can get the same results with the Intel. I couldn't find the 8602+s in a PCI-e.

I have been using a MK-1 CF-30 for almost 3 years and have never felt the need to upgrade the oem wifi card. I believe Rob upgraded his but not to a 6300, not worth the trouble IMHO.

You're probably right Cap D but I use my CF-30 at work in a place that only gets 1 bar and drops signal frequently. I've been using an external Alpha Network set-up and get 3-4 bars. In the name of the Tough-book tradition of keeping things internal I was hoping this might work to improve my signal.
Thanks for all the good work you regulars do. After reading hundreds of post I feel like I know people I don't really know?#@&?
Buy the way, how do you guys explain all the "stuff" we buy for our toughbooks to your wife's? I'm having a hard time of it. Until I figure it out the beatings will continue. -

I finally got so many Toughbooks that she wouldn't know if a new one showed up anyway. Oh, and I gave her my second Toughbook and haven't heard a word of criticism since. (none before either I might add)
