A couple of weeks back I noticed Cmorr had some extra thermal pads, so I asked if him if I could by a pair. Nothing doing--he sent them to me free of charge. (I installed them, and my 29 is cool as a cucumber now, BTW.) I remembered too that psychothrasher had offered to send me some many months back, but I just didn't get around to opening up my machine to see if that was the problem. Anyway, hats off to the both of them, as well as to the communal spirit on this board, whose tone is set by Toughbook, Tomcat and many others. If we were farmers, I guess we'd be helping one another put up tobacco or raising barns, which makes me glad we're not. Anyway, cheers to one and all.

I have been reading this thread as others. This Forum is great!.
I ended up here because I have a question. I have a Panasonic CF-30 F3SAXAM toughbook.
I want to upgrade it to a 500GB hard drive. I would like a Travelstar by Hitachi but I do not know if my toughbook takes SATA1 (SATA150) or SATA2 (SATA300). I even phoned Panasonic tech support and they could not answer it to me.
What hard rive of at least 5400rpm, and 500gb from TravelStar can I buy for my laptop? Warranty?
I will appreciate very much your help
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum. You would have probably gotten a better response if you would have started your own thread instead of taching it on to a thank you thread..... But to answer your question... The SATA2 should work fine. -
Thank you,
you are right!! Sorry!!
If you agree, I will start the thread just in case another user is looking for this same info.
Cheers
Alex
A belated thanks to Cmorr et al.
