First, what do you use to clean the screen with? Being in an automotive shop environment, the touch screen gets semi dirty. I am leery of windex etc. but water won't do anything to oily, greasy spots but smear.

Second, what is the sensor under the right hinge cover? I asked the seller the same question, he said "there is no sensor under the hinge cover". Well, yeah there is. I took the covers off to tighten the hinges a bit. It's under the tiny hole and looks almost like a camera lens, even though I know it isn't. What is it?

Lastly, speaking of hinge tightening, is it possible to get it too tight? It is where I like it but is pretty stiff. on't want to cause any undue wear by over tightening.

    Thanks!

I have used windex but I spray it on a soft cloth then clean it or I use LCD cleaner/sheets

That's a good question. Never seen one there before. I know there is a small hole on some . We need a picture please

The small hole in the hinge cover is for the optional microphone...Although I don't know of any one who as actually seen one...
There is a write up on how to add one..A mic from a CF28 works great..

Pretty sure it isn't a mic. Looks to be glass as I recall. Someone tell me how to post pics and I'll pull the cover and shoot one.

Take a picture and put it in a folder on your HDD. Click on the "Upload a file" on the bottom here.

From the link above, it appears it's a light sensor. I asked in my OP what the sensor was.... It looks exactly like the one in the first link above.

The hinges don't hold tension very well do they. I tightened them up a few hours ago, after maybe 8 openings since then, they are looser again. Not flopping around loose but doesn't take much finger pressure to get it to move away.

    Cool. Who's Jeff?

If it's a mic, how does it work? I tried it on the reorder app but got nothing. Does it work only when hooked up to a dock or something? Also did the test my hardware app and it said no sound detected.

Did any of the CF-28's have mikes? Wait....I'll call my local expert. Answered yes while eating sea-food in a restaurant.

Slot in the left hinge cover. There was also a light measuring gizmo in some of them behind the hole in right hinge. (Not sure on this) I have ALL his CF-28 parts except for the white keyboard.

    I'm promised some manuals CF-25 to CF-28.
