Some might not understand why we don't post links of deals on ebay so this is why. At one time we had a ebay thread where we would post good deals but what was happening was we had dealers that was watching it and members would end up losing out on the deals because the big dealers would buy them all up . So the thread was closed . So now if we see a great deal we most of the time PM our friends (thanks Shawn :thumbsup
and let them know. If the seller has lots of the item then we do what Shawn did and post the name of the item...just a few clicks of the mouse and you should be able to find it...we just don't want to make it easy for dealers

I remember those days. It worked GREAT for a few weeks. As I recall that thread had one of the highest view totals ever. Mostly from people who never contributed... They just wanted the advice of people who knew.

Thanks for the heads up on this!
Very cool charger with 100 and 12 volt. For my use the 12 volt is a big plus, no need for inverter. For the price it has to go on my list of best deals! -

I only got two, I got a few a while back. Still may pick up a couple more before they are all gone.

Best ones are CD manuals for computer hardware you need a computer off to install (eg. motherboard, drives, cards, etc.) ... so you're assuming I have 1. enough knowledge to not need the manual 2. won't read the manual anyway 3. have another computer handy?

I have been using one for years, but do be careful to push the 4 pin plug in so it is oriented correctly. You can get it pushed in up side down, trust me on this, and it will not work after that. I like to take the silver metallic Sharpies and code my plugs and jacks so that I am sure, even in low light, that they are oriented correctly.
I guess you could also use the gold or copper metallic Sharpies, but I am just not that much into bling on my Toughbook.Besides silver goes with the blue shag case protector...

Well, dang. I bought one, but the end that plugs into the computer won't work with my CF-28. The end is a female, as is the end on my toughbook. Didn't get any adapters or anything with it. Might just have to find a plug that will work, and solder it in. Kinda disappointing.

This is the one you need but is a little high priced. I have seen them for $30.00 Panasonic Toughbook Lind PA1555 655 DC Power Adapter CF 28 CF 27 CF M34 | eBay

Look for one with correct voltage for a Sony. Some of them have the correct plug for a CF28. I can get the model number off mine when I get home.

Well, i did find an adapter that will go from the connector on the IBM adapter to the CF-28. Don't know if I'm going to order it quite yet. I just bought a CF-18 without a power adapter, or caddy/hdd, so this will be able to power the 18. The 18 is probably going to be my in car computer anyway, so it should work out.
