I have a CF-28 800mhz and 528m of RAM. I had to do a clean install of Win XP Pro and now I don't have the stand by or hibernate options. I actually have 2 hard drives so I tried it again on my second, this time I pushed F5 at the beginning when all the drivers are loading and from the menu I chose "Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC" and it still won't work. Are our computers a ACPI Uniprocessor PC or ACPI Multiprocessor PC? This page has the directions that I followed http://www.theeldergeek.com/clean_installation_of_windows_xp.htm Look at the "Role of the F5 key and shut down problems" part. Any ideas??

You probably don't have the correct video driver installed. This will prevent the sytem from being able to standby or hibernate.

Where would I find the correct video driver and would it be as simple as just updating the current one, or do I have to start all over with installing XP again?

Just install the driver, no need to reload windows or you will be back in the same place. As windows always chooses the Standard VGA driver when it can't find the mfg correct driver. Just make sure you download the correct one for your specific revision of the CF-28.

Those drivers are helping so far, but I'm missing the ialmkchw.sys and ialmasb.sys files so the drivers aren't installing all the way. When I shut down I get a blue screen saying there's a problem with ialmnt5.sys. I've tried to update the Intel chipset drivers on the Intel website, but that didn't work...

The chipset drivers are on the Panasonic down load site. You have to register to get at them.
