    Hi everyone!

A friend broke the screen on his CF-U1 mk2 1.6ghz 2gb ram, is the screen from the 1.33ghz 1gb ram version compatible?

    Thanks!

    Not sure.
The mk2 has the light sensor and the mk1 does not.

I will disassemble my own mk2 and take pictures of the lcd assembly to compare. If anyone here can disassemble his own mk1 and take pictures i will really appreciate it!

You ever take a U1 apart before? It's quite a task to get to the motherboard. Then to get to the lcd is more work. I am guessing a first timer will take 2 hours or more.
Just a heads up. Watch the 2 or 3 youtube videos first.

    Pretty much a complete teardown.
If you swapped wifi cards, you were at least halfway there. That is not a 5 minute job either.
