I got the free trial version of Acronis and cloned my drive. I put the new drive in the notebook and started installing Windows XP Pro. It started downloading the files and then when I pressed the enter button to begin installing XP Pro I got a message that it did not see a hard drive. The only option I had was to hit F3 and stop the process. I tried this about 3 times with the same results. What went wrong?

You need to slipstream SATA drivers with nLite, disable SATA mode, or use a floppy to load SATA drivers for XP.

You lost me, Gregg. Would the SATA drivers be downloaded from? How do you slipstream the SATA drivers with nlite? Would you disable the SATA mode in the Bios? Sorry not very up to date with this.
