Hi,
does anyone know how to do that?
Where can I find RS232 WiFi Module card? and RS232 Bluetooth modul?
For use with the known MiniPCI Gps card with two serial ports.
Where are the experts? Please help.
Thanks
Where can i upload the the complete manual?
If anybody need this, please ask.

Personally I dislike the mini-pci GPS card, but that's just me... Takes up a slot and didn't have specs that blew me away for it's price.
You won't find wireless that operates on serial though. It'd be SLOW. I'm talking a maximum of what dialup speeds are. It's limitations of serial, and because of that nobody wants to make a serial wireless card. Bluetooth might be an option though. -
So what to do? Maybe this module could help.

But I will lost a one USB slot.
Does anyone know if the mainboard has a serial port can be used for GPS like the CF-28 mod? -
I'm sure it does, but you may have to help a bit in finding it because I think you're the only person with an 18. They are cool, but they are out of my price range.
I don't suppose you're lucky enough to see if there is the same 50 pin connector under the battery eh? If so, you might be in business for an easier GPS mod. -
I am pretty sure that cf-18 has an expansion slot but it is inside the unit You have to open up the unit, the bottom parts but be careful coz the speaker is attached to that bottom cover. I have that unit two years ago. I just used it for 8 months and then sold. I don't have shematic, if you can produce an schematic we can help you. -
I can show you where the GPS kit that Heartland has is installed.
At the top left is a rectangular PCB with a Wireless modem installed on top and a silver cage securing it.
Pardon the rushed MSpaint job
On the bottom of that PCB (Neon green arrow) is where the GPS installs.
The GPS module attaches to the metal cage on the far right where I drew that large green circle. It has a small FFC (flat white cable with blue ends) that runs to the connector with the arrow pointing to it. The GPS antenna actually sits behind a black plastic cover that installs to the right of the keyboard. I drew a very poor rendition of it also in neon green in that above picture.
Here is a photo that shows the actual GPS cover ---
I can answer any questions you might have over OEM parts as that is all I work with. I am just not nearly as fluent with all the aftermarket parts as some of the regulars who post here.
I'm here to help where I can though. -
Hi,
thanks very much so far. My model is a MK1. This is inside.
The RIM modul on the left is for a CF-28. I wount definitivelly fit in CF-18.
But the connection seem to be alomst the same.Attached Files:

Kanada... You should be able to make it work if you can get the schematics to the CF-18. You should only have to connect 4-5 wires but you MUST make sure that you put them in the right places. You DO NOT want the magic smoke to come out! I doubt it will be a simple plug and play operation.
Adding aftermarket GPS CF-18?
