I've never seen any advertisement for the Panasonic Toughbooks before.
Looks like Matsu****a has launched an ad campaign here in Washington D.C.

Has anyone in the area been by the Pentagon Metro station?

For the past month or so, there's banners and posters advertising the whole line of Rugged, Semi-Rugged, and remote video products.

"Legally, we can't say we own the word Tough"

"Legally, we can't say it's designed by the DOD"
-Mil Spec design with input from friends in familiar places.

"Legally, we can't say it can take a bullet."
-A magnesium alloy case. Enough Said.
(Picture of CF-30 case riddled with dents)

"Legally, we can't say where it's been used."
-A built in handle for taking it to places that may or may not exist.

    etc.

I'll see if I can snap some pics on the camera phone and not get sent to Guantanamo Bay.

Anyone else seen Panasonic Toughbook ads around?

I've started to see them on my local (Mpls, MN) newspaper website. I've never seen ads for them in the past. It's just been for the fully ruggedized.

I saw some commercials running on something like Fox news, MSNBC, or something like that (wasn't really paying too close attention). A lot of posters are showing up in airports and places w/ heavy business travel.

Yeah, we've got all those same ads posted down here, on the major highways surrounding Fort Sam Houston...

Legally, we're not allowed... freedom of speech, the right to due process, freedom from illegal search & seizure... all those pesky civil rights that really just interfere with the business of war...

Don't really see much of them in person (haven't really been paying attention), but they're all over firehouse.com. :)
