...after a long, frustrating day on the road fixing other people's messed up stuff... and guess what:

Guys, you really made my Christmas. I'd sweep y'all up for a massive hug, but you know... brimstone breath. ;)

And YES, I AM typing this on it even now! Once I get dinner finished, we'll start on its first mod; the illuminated chiclet keyboard Cap'n sent me!

    mnem
Merry Christmas, all you ToughBook freaks! And best of fortune in the New Year!

Merry Christmas. I see you got right into it last night. It occurs to me that I have a couple of sleds for the GPS/WWAN slot if you want one.

i've been ripped off very badly before and it was the greatest feeling to have a few certain people step up and help me out, even though it wasn't their place, and they couldn't really afford it; the positive feeling of that was more than enough to counter the horrible feeling of violated trust, deceit, and loss.

It's nice to know that they're still decent people in this world when something like that happens.

    Merry Christmas Dwagon!
    Merry Christmas to everyone!

Amen. Just because someone CAN steal from you doesn't mean they're obligated to do so; and this Christmas has done much to restore my faith in human nature.

Thanks again, y'all. I'm STILL all verklempt.

    mnem
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Believe me; when I went back and it wasn't there, I was all ready to set fire to a few backsides. Unfortunately (I think unfortunately... maybe, maybe not.) there was nobody there to flambé. This one is getting Lojack as soon as I get my next paycheck.

    mnem
I recommend Hopping Dragon brand flamethrowers for all your keister-scorching needs.
