The guy I bought it from apparently re-loaded it with Win 8 Pro 64 and obviously didn't install all the correct drivers. I HATE Windows 8... I might reload it. Haven't gotten that frustrated *YET*

Question I have is this: The digitizer works FINE but the multi-touch isn't working at ALL... It's almost as if the Touchscreen is disabled? I checked the BIOS and it says "Enabled" I also installed the "Touch Screen Control Service" from the Panny website... How to activate lol...

    Thoughts?

    CF-C2ACAZXLM

    Thanks!

EDIT: I also tried turning the "Touchscreen" to "Disabled" in the BIOS and it disables the digitizer...
EDIT AGAIN: Nothing yielded with the Panasonic Dashboard utility.
AGAIN: Upgraded the Multi-Touch Device Firmware to 3053 (Windows 8). Had version 0154 (Windows 7 Firmware)

It had Windows 7 firmware on there! Windows 8 firmware and it's working great now! :)

EDIT. DAMN, now the digitizer doesn't work! LOL!

There were 2 files in the Windows 8 touchscreen firmware updater! 3053 (which I tried and it didn't work) and 3049. WORKED!

So now I have the same damn issue where the eraser doesn't work on the tablet. The eraser on my digitizer pen treats it as the normal pen and doesn't erase!

Same exact issue I had with my H2 Toughbook with win 7...

    Welcome to the forum... :D :D :D
The regulars in this forum have discovered that it is easier to just buy the Panasonic recovery disk from Heartlands. :D
You newcomers always try to take shortcuts that usually involve more time and frustration than is necessary... :D

While you are waiting for Official Panasonic Recovery Disk:
Try this while waiting for recovery disk. It's free from: Download - Linux Mint
You can load MATE either 32 or 64 bit and your digitizer should work, my CF-19 MK2 digitizer works fine. Congrats on your new purchase. BTW, I did NOT likie W8 either.
Also, I know you Like Microsoft Onenote with your digitizer, you can use that program in Linux:
    http://askubuntu.com/questions/19230/microsoft-onenote-alternative
    From the above link: "

    down vote
I've been using MS OneNote for years now for business and private purposes as well.
Now I tried ALL of the above mentioned alternative apps, but I must say, honestly really nothing comes close to OneNote.
The only one which is at least somewhat close is Basket Note Pads which is available for download from the Ubuntu Software Center or the developer's website: http://basket.kde.org/
If you do not want to sacrifice most of the functions you love in OneNote than you need to install it somehow in Wine or PlayonLinux or in a WM...
Reasoning: In which linux note app can you click anywhere in the note and instert any type of object, files, text, drawings etc or edit them? Or which provides automatic cloud sync as well? Which allows you to make freehand drawings or use drawing tools? Which allows you to draw directly on top of any graphical elements, pics etc by hand? How about direct pdf or html or jpg saving of notes? Any linux note app supports the use of stylus pens on touchscreen? Any with image to text conversion feature or OCR, scanning etc? Drag and drop of any elements within or in between notes/notebooks? One click open new tab like note/notebook management with color codes and drag and drop? And so on the list is endless. OneNote Rulez every note app for linux. Unfortunately! "
    Enjoy

Rob, If you haven't already look up "classic shell" that will put the start button back where it goes. So far at work I have reloaded two pc's and soon will be doing a third with Windows 7. The other two windows 8 pc's I have had to do lots of tweaking and added classic shell just to get it up where the owners like it enough to use it.

Ohhhhhh boy. At least I posted the full model right!?!?!?!?

I'm cheap... I canceled the $70 order from Heartland! LOL!

Anyways, everything is working perfectly now with the exception of the eraser function.

These posts are from 2007 when XP was primary. I guarantee if I put XP on this thing it would work just fine! This is the SAME issue I had with my H2 with win 7. :(

So I programmed my A2 button to do "Control + Z"... AKA: Undo...

Lets see if I can live with this in Onenote :)

Microsoft has put the start button back in windows 8.1 but I haven't seen it yet. I guess it took them a while for them to understand they screwed up again. I don't know if it will be a rolling update or not for earlier versions of windows 8.

Now that I have my SSD sorted out how I want it I am back doing more windows 7 tweaks. I have been thinking of going with a new shell. Replacing explorer.exe with a alternative. They can be light weight or very fancy.
I am looking for a mix of the two. I may though in a spare hard drive and give it a go before I go home in a little over a week.

    OOOOOOOOOOOKAY!

Through all the struggles I think we're good here! I ended up calling Wacom and they provided NO HELP whatsoever. Wouldn't even talk to me... "You need to talk to Panasonic, blah blah blah blah!"

At any rate, I downloaded the WACOM drivers here: Hardware Drivers | Wacom - TABLET PC – Enhanced Tablet Driver 7.1.1-12 for Windows 8.

The eraser STILL isn't working right but I was able to re-program the SIDE button so it will turn into an eraser when pushed. That will work JUST FINE for me. :) Touch works too.

We're FINALLY good to go! Persistence pays off!

Ok, it was just a early review I had read on it. I still have no real interest in Windows 8 so I haven't kept up with it that close.

I even got pissed at a windows phone here a few months back. They had it set up where you couldn't even take you pictures off the phone with out installing ZUNE.

    Hey Rob,

You also have a CF-C1 right? I'm still looking for a stylus digitizer and came across the cf-vnp016au which goes with the C2. The model for the C1 is cf-vnp016u. Would you compare the two and see if they are in fact the same exact thing? Thanks.

    I used to own a C1. Yes. I like my C2 MUCH better :).

They are exactly the same pen.

I can get you the cf-vnp016u one too. It's $49 and I have em in stock.

A little birdy showed you this: New Samsung Digital Pen AA DP0NE2B US | eBay - It will also work and has the eraser on the other end (XP Only) :).

    Thanks for the info.

The C2 does have some nice upgrades from the C1 but why did Panasonic go with a 1.8GHz processor? That and the price tag keeps me away for now.
