And so I switched from Sprint to ATT on my CF-31...

And I must say this: GOOD GOD IS ATT FAST! I can download crap off the interwebs at 400+ kbps, vs sprints measly 100kbps!!! WOW! it actually works in my shop too withOUT the cell repeater (since that repeater is only for Sprint).

I still have phone service with Sprint and am happy with it, and will NOT be changing any time soon.

The funny thing is this: I'm paying the SAME MONEY as I was with Sprint ($50/month) AND, because I have steller credit, I didn't even need to sign a contract! Activated it on the GOBI2000 card and it's working GREAT! WOW!

I'm actually on a 4G plan.... Now I'm just wondering if this 3G is this fast, I wonder how fast the 4G will be.

Whats even better is this: I can now switch the SIM to a normal USB device (I have one laying around that is 7.2M HSDPA USB one) so that if I need to ever put it on a different machine (like my wifes CF-19), I can actually do that... w00t!!!

Hell, I might even install an INTERNAL HSDPA card into her CF-19 (since I got a million of them laying around) so I can simply pop my sim into hers and go... :D

How, how to put a 4G card internal into my CF-31????

    FWIW:

I installed a Novatel EU870D into a CF-19 MK1 unit here (as a test dummy) and it works, but won't connect with ATT. I then tried out an EU860D and it works GREAT! I will install it tonight in my wifes CF-19MK1/Touch :)

That way when we go on trips I can just give her my SIM card and she can get online without my CF-31 being used as an AD-HOC AP :)

    Thanks

I have the ATT plan on my GOBI and can't see the need for more bandwidth. It's like a wired broadband connection.

I had AT&T card for computer service until I finally got DSL in my area. It sucked here around the house. We don't even have 3G here on the towers yet. Now in a bigger city like Monroe it was faster but not that fast. When I took it to New Orleans and Lafayette where they had full 3G service it would fly.
