What is the space under or above the battery for? there are connectors on the board to the center of the laptop to plug in something. GPS unit? Flux capacitor?![]()

That connector on the edge of the MB is for the GPS/RIM daughterboard. If your laptop didn't come with either of these options, or if someone removed the board because the RIM CDPD analog Cellular MODEM no longer functions (Analog service was dropped by ALL CARRIERS in Feb 2008), then you won't have anything there. If your laptop has a pull-up antenna on the left of the LCD, odds are someone removed a non-functioning RIM CDPD module.
More details are available in the WiFi Antenna Hack & GPS Hack links in the CF-28 FAQ.

Hi, thank you, that is what I thought, I looked in the manual but it didn't have anything I could find on it.
Thanks again, Fred -
You have been warned! -
You got to get to know your electronic components
The other day I received an unusual substitute for electronic condensers that I ordered. I received instruction and parts to build a complex communication device called an interocitor. When finished, a mysterious man named Exeter appeared on the interocitor's screen and tells me that I have passed the test. My ability to build the interocitor demonstrates that I am gifted enough to be part of Exeter's special research project.
To be continued

You see, electricity has a much lower flux density than plasma or tetryon particles... therefore it is much less efficient when phase shifted from a state of excited particle critical mass to one of quantum flux ionization which is, of course, the type of energy release required to charge the flux capacitor. Fortunately, the Temporal Standard flux capacitor is very forgiving when charged inappropriately, and will not USUALLY rend the fabric of space when discharged thereafter... it may bend it a little for a while however.
BTW, Alex - do me a favor willya? Tell Exeter I remember him, and the 20 solars he still owes from the Big Bang party...

Anyone for a little interstellar wave-surfing on the cosmic eddy currents of subspace? All you need is a little solar sailcloth and a REALLY tall mast... -
I took this picture when I had my last chat with Exeter
He warned me that images on the interocitor's screen cannot be photographed
But he underestimated the ingenuity of me a Nuclear physicist

But yeah, that's him. I don't care if the mutants did kill him; they're ALWAYS doing that, and do you have any idea of the interest on a loan 21.6 billion years (allowing for pre-genitive non-time induced temporal stretch) old would be? Good lord, I could own my OWN universe by now... I could put it right next to my omniverse and my microverse there, on the second shelf...

I dont know anything about any mutants
Exeter has invited me to join a group of scientists on a secret research project. He says he is going to send a plane to pick me up
Me being curious as a cat has agreed to this, but I dont think its going to happen any time soon as its been too foggy here for any plane to land
Alex -
Well, like I said... they're ALWAYS doing that. He'll get around to you sooner or later... but ummm... don't go out to lunch with him anyplace expensive.

...and here, high in his foggy french mountain observatory, is a foggy french astronomer...
