Well, seeing as you didn't bother to include the model # (or bother to read the FAQ or Resource threads stickied to the top of the Forum - if you did, you'd know about the Toughbook Configurator) ;) I'd say your only way of knowing for sure is to open it up. You can look for it in the BIOS, but that's only a guess.

How do you say RTFM nicely?

You know I have read most all threads, just could not remember where I read it and could not find the specific answer in the search. But I REALLY want to thank you guys for being complete and other jerks to other members. Once and a while I run across a FORUM that has people like you who get there jollies thrashing others. If you look around you will see I have tried to support this forum and am in many threads so I don't just pop on to ask a quick question and go away. I joined because I recently bought a Toughbook and was happy to find this VERY informative site. What is worse is such a comment would come from mnementh who's post I have found very informative with what I can tell has at least three years experience with the toughtbook and this forum probably more, so I am sure you are able to answer questions off the top of your head fairly quickly and WITHOUT having to search the threads for them. It would be nice to see you have some patience with the newer members who are trying to take in a lot of information in a short amount of time in order to get there books up and running properly. If I have offended the forum moderator in any way I apologize. I would not think he/she would want this conduct on there forum.

    klawtrax -

I meant no abuse here; I really meant it when I said how do I say RTFM NICELY. I pointed you to the BIOS and the stickies where the link to the Configurator were posted.

One of the FIRST things we ask you to do is read the FAQ thoroughly; in it, we request that you ALWAYS post a model # when you ask a question. It is ALWAYS important. ;)

I'm sorry my ;) got messed up in that post due to mixing in with my parentheses; I'll go fix it now.

Thanks, right now I am running the battery calibrator (just installed new main and new media bay batteries) after that I will check into the Toughbook Configurator as per mnementh. Yes it is a cf-29 mrk 3. Full = cf-29h3m50bm and this is a white sticker that has been placed over the original m/n....maybe by Tiger Direct. So I am thinking changes have been made to the original set-up.

I mean no harm too. I just wanna know what model do you have coz how can I give you an answer without knowing what model do you have. I need a complete info. There a lot of toughbook out there. I cannot quess without the model no. For example, the cf-73, cf-72 cf-50, and other were released without gps option even on the expansion slot.

It was also a first post of the first page with no references. Sometime we are having some fun here. Be prepared but no low b..l
