I have recently purchased a cf-28. The battery is not that big (capacity).
I could use some tips on extending battery life.

Any recommendations on a good source for a new battery?

There are a couple of threads here talking about rebuilding packs, and getting a rebuilt pack from a company online - that, for a fee and your old battery pack, will send you a rebuilt pack - you keep your pack till you get the new one (imagine, trusting the customer!).

    Try

By dimming your screen you can add almost an hours worth of run-time to your battery. You can also turn off things you don't need. Bluetooth, wireless (when you don't need it), etc.

Your best bet is to exercise your battery regularly and maybe look into getting an extra one from one of the ebay rebuilders. As I am finding out... Its not enough to just replace the batteries. You need to reprogram the battery software somehow... There's a company on ebay that charges $89 (Plus your old battery) for a new battery.
