Just wondering if anyone was going to get the new let's note 5 series. Not really much different from the 4 series except batt life, chip set, and the Y5 has "water ducts".

I personally just put a pre-order in for a W5, just wondering if i'm the only one out there.

Not the only one but in the minority. Panny makes some nice machines with great durability though. If they could get cost down they'd see a more broad market.

And also make a human scale keyboard that doesn't cause a need for re-typing every minute. JL

Actually, I'm holding off from getting one, because my Y2 is barely a year old. I'll use this for another year and wait for the Y5s to truly get released on the US market. What I'm looking forward to most is the longer battery life, although I'm hoping the the Core Duo processor might help out with some of the heat issues on the bottom of the computer. Actually, I never noticed the heat on the bottom until the heat wave of this summer, so it must have something to do with the less effective dissipation of heat through the keyboard (even though, of course, I use it mostly in air conditioned rooms).

I dont think think the Core Duo helps - that is what the Y5 has - and its the only "5" series with a fan. Which indicates to me its too hot still.
