Interesting, could be the answer for us CF-28 users who like Win 7, but find it is to slow on our machines.

This is what I got with a clean install in VMWARE Workstation 7.1:
    Lite Install
    4.98GB HD space
    ~1.6GB available out of 2GB
    32 Processes
    1.2GB ISO Image

    Normal
    7.43GB HD space
    ~1.6GB available out of 2GB
    46 Processes
    2.3GB ISO Image

I've done a lot of research on this since my mom uses a Thinkpad T30 and with a family pack I wanted to slim down Win7 to use on that laptop. After days of research and quite a few install discs, I've come to the same conclusion that yes, you CAN shrink Windows 7, but not to the same extent as nLite on XP and the results are not worth the effort.
