    Hi guyz

Anyone used Panasonic Y5? The main difference b/w y4 and y5 is the battery life. I need to know wether Y5 does go upto 5, 5.5 hours on normal use. They say it goes upto 9 hours but thats obviously quite optimistic.
I can't find a review about Y5 here because it was released on 19May06. So its very new in the market.

I think to be safe, assume 70% of the stated batt life. The core solos are said to save more energy, hence the extended battery life. I think it would be safe to say that the Y5 would have more battery life than the Y4. The Y5 actually has water ducts now compared to the Y4, and in my opinion looks alot sweeter than its predecessor with its smooth surface.

I guess i can say that y5 will do 5 hours safely . But i think there is no one here to confirm that.

I would think that Y5 could do 6 hours easily. Since my used Y2 still runs at 4hr per charge with wifi on and it was rated as 6-7 when new.

Anyone know how the screen looks on the Y4 or Y5? the only complain I have for the Y2 now is it's screen quality, not bright enough and viewing angle is way too narrow. but I still love it .

I have the Y2 myself, and looking to possibly upgrade. Has the Y4/Y5 keyboard layout been updated from the Y2? Judging from the shots at dynamism, the PgUp/Down buttons are now Fn combo keys. Can anyone confirm?

A bummer for me because I use them quite a bit when surfing

It seems Y5 hasn't upgraded PU/PD keys. I bought Y5 three months ago. The PgUp/Down keys are still Fn combo keys. The touch-pad can be used instead, because scroll Up/Down/Left/Right can all be done with it. Now Panasonic has published new models with 1.66g CPUs. Mine is still 1.5g Core Duo.

I have the W5 which has claimed life of 12hours but I get 8 hours, which is consistent with other peoples experience. You can probably extrapolate Y5 real life hours from that claim.

I used a Japanese Y5 for like 5 minutes last week... can't say much about it because I used it for so little time... but the thing's weight was amazing and the screen and build quality seemed very nice. I was jealous!
