Thinking about selling my CF-M34 but don't know what to ask for it.

Could I post specs and have you guys give me an idea?

Why is this thread not in the buy/sell/trade forum? Rick, please move it.

    Thanks

P.S, that M34 ain't gonna be worth much... prolly $50 if it's in good working order (unless it's a centrino newer model, then it would prolly be worth $200)

It's in perfect shape. 1GHz, 1.25GB RAM, fastest PATA hard drive on the market (HM160HC), etc etc.

Fully loaded and everything works perfect.

This isn't in the buying/selling forum because I'm not doing either of those things, am I? How would I fill out the BST form if I'm not selling hmm?

I'm sorry, I thought you were going to sell it... That is fine then lol...

Maybe $100 it could be worth with those given specs...

Yeah.. If you want to ask what it is worth... I would think that comperables on ebay would be your best guide.... At least comperables THAT SELL! (If you know what I mean)

Well the 1GHz models don't come up for sale often, and when they do, they never sell for less than $200. With the new fast hdd, the extra RAM, nearly 3 hour battery, and nearly zero wear I'm sure I'd get $250-$300 or so.

Just was wondering what you guys had seen them selling for.

I sold my 400MHz P3 CF-M34 with XP Pro and a 340GB HDD and 385MB of RAM for $300 almost a year ago.

I was happy to get $75 for mine. They aren't worth much now that CF-18s are so cheap. roughly the same size and a lot more box, especially the screen brightness.

Yeah.... I was getting close to $2k for my modded CF-29s a year ago too... Things have changed A LOT since then. CF-18s are cheap.... CF-28/29s are getting moreso... CF-30s are dropping and they just came out with the CF-31... CF-M34s are still viable... But supersceded and outdated... But then so are CF-25s... They still sell... But not at $300. We won't even talk about the drek SBC crap that has floated to the surface. (Yes... I KNOW that SOME of you have had SOME luck with these.... But we have also heard of major complaints.)

So... Aaron.... I'm wondering... Was this a rhetorical question? If you KNOW what your Toughbook is worth... Why ask the question? We have other exercises we like... Like mods and stuff to expand the general Toughbook Universe.

My guess it would bring between $50 and $250 on fleaBay, depending on how much extra swag comes with and whether more than one antique collector got a hard-0n for it.

I sold mine on a Gun Board. You will find this a lot tougher crowd!

However, if you decide to take the $50 that Mnementh suggests, consider it SOLD and send me your info for payment! :D

4-5 years ago I paid $800.00 for a brand new CF-M34 1GHZ and thought I got a really good deal. At the time they were going for $1100.00-$1700.00 for a used one. I was going to resell it for a profit but liked it so much I ended up keeping it and still have it to this day. sadly I would be lucky to get $300-$400 for it no matter what improvements I made.

All it needs is a blue paint job with authentic metallic flake.
