I was amazed at how poor the other "rugged" computers were in comparison. No firewire? No media cards? BTW, who would want to remove the handle from their toughbook and use it without it? I think that's just weird.

Man, if I paid that much for a computer; you can be sure there would be a killing if somebody abused it like that old boy did.

"Pappy drifts off, spit dribbling out of the corner of his mouth, dreaming of thrashing the Toughbook abuser with a big stick."

GREAT article! But of course we already knew it was the best.

I'm trying to work up to a CF-30! I got a great quote for on for $2200... Not bad... I'll have to sell a few more UTBs though...

When you get yours TB, let me know, we NEED some CF30 discussions in on this board, I can't be the only here with one!

CF30, the best and toughest notebook I have used to date.

On a side note, I thought the CF30s were sporting Core Duos, not Core 2 and 945, not 965? Or have they updated the 30s?

I was thinking they probably stole the toughbook out of a cop car on their way to a high school shooting.

The LCD and outer casing looked very good, and some of us probably wouldn't mind having one more to play with (but not the way they dunked, torched and shot the bugger to bits! ).

it thought it was damn impressive that they dropped the TB from that height and the only thing that came loose was the handle.
