Hello all... I just sold a CF-29 to a couple in Tasmania. Obviously the North American AC Adapter will not work there. What should I recommend? Any suggestions? They apparently have a large boat that they will also use this on there so you can keep that in mind.

I can make recommendations for them... But I figured that I would ask to make sure.

    Thanks!

Rick your ac adapter should work fine as the newest models accept 100-240v 50/60 cycle, but check on your adapter to be sure

The power requirement is 230 50 cycle

Here is a pick of the wall plug that you need
I don't have one handy but if you notice the adapter end is the "mickey mouse" standard

Nope... Aftermarket adapter... I told them I would recommend one as I only provide the 120VAC.

You know.. I don't think I ever paid any attention to the input voltage allowed by the stock and even aftermarket adapters. Even the aftermarket adapters are rated for 240V. I was going to surprise them with the adapter as I already had the one you mentioned first that came with an old Sony video camera that I bought out of country... But I can't find it! (I'm blaming my wife on this one.) I have the camera still but I have a feeling that all the extras are still in the box... at the landfill!

Now... They plan on using this on their yacht a lot for navigation. I don't know if the yacht is large enough to provide 240V or whether it will provide just 12V... I guess just about any adapter would be good for that though. I'll rummage around with what has worked for me in the past there and give them a few links also.

    Thanks! ;)

Even a small yacht would have a ac inveter on board
Since its in that part of the world it would be 230v 50 cycle
You could check if they have standard 12v dc on board , that would allow use of the lind dc/dc adapter
Most of my marine customers use the lind adapter
