I used my CF-29 factory CD's to go back to factory settings and have forgotten what I need to do to get my mp3 with a usb connector cable recognized by the CF-29.

It either had something to do with enabling a function in the BIOS or going into the device manager?

    Help!

In the BIOS, try selecting "Legacy USB - Enable" as a start.

Thanks TopCop, but I upgraded to Microsoft Mediaplayer 11 from whatever was on the old factory XP and it did the trick. At least it recognized the mp3 player right after the upgrade, regardless I'm a happy camper.
