I have two old CF-27 Toughbooks. One is a CF-27EB6GCAM (with the external VGA connector) and the other is a CF-27EB6GDAM (with the internal Aztech modem and no external VGA connector).

I updated the C model to version 202L10G using the cf27_ mk2_v202l10.exe from http://www.panasonic.ca but it doesn't work on the D model. Is there another BIOS update specifically for the D model or was that model released with a BIOS good enough for Windows 2000 (and associated power management changes) to begin with?

Not that it really matters since I'm using Windows Millennium Edition on them anyway (with the only problem being that the mouse pointer doesn't disappear from the screen when the screensaver starts but that is probably due to the bugginess of Windows and not a BIOS problem anyway). I've had 98, 98SE and even XP running properly (but too slowly) on them too.

It's just that I like the have the most up to date BIOSes on all my computers so I'm just wondering which BIOS was the last one for a CF-27EB6GDAM?

Also 192mb seems to be the maximum RAM that I can get working in these machines. Is there a way of tricking them into accepting more?

There is a BIOS Upgrade for a CF-27F Touchscreen running Windows 98/NT/95 and a BIOS Upgrade for a CF-27F running Windows 2000... That's all I see...

If you can find a PC100 256mb sodimm it may work to get 320mb but it's hit and miss.

Yeah, that's what I was led to believe after reading the Wiki about it too. I tried a 256mb PC133 sodimm instead and I still only got 192mb. No worries, it works well with 192mb anyway.
