Ok i tried a quick search and didn't find anything on this spevificlly. I just picked up a 29 on fleabay and used the recovery disks that Tomcat send me (thanks man!) but when I try to enable the wireless lan and turn it on through the windows wireless network setup to select my WiFi network it goes immeadiately to a BSOD and reboots. I tried disabling everything else in BIOS because I thought it was a hardware port conflict but it makes no difference. Im on the computer now using a PC card to access the wifi and it works just fine, it seems to only be when im trying to use the intel 2200 b/g card built in. Any ideas?

I have had issues with the intel 2100b card on cf-73's
But never an issue with the 2200bg cards on the 73's
No problem with either mk-1 or mk-2 29's
But there are lots of issues and posts from forum members with the cf-29's bsod in the last month
Sounds like everyone has the same problem
    First I enable the wireless
Then I configure to let windows manage
Then I uninstall proset including drivers
Intel has a new driver file that updates the older driver thats included on the restore disk
I download the driver only, not the proset , and go into device manager and direct the unknown network device to search in the new driver file

    And an addition:
After the restore is loaded, I install sp-2 and after that I install sp-3
I believe that it's OK just to install sp-3 , but I do it this way
    Then I use microsoft updates

Try out and report back, or if anyone of the 3 or so members that have reported problems with their cf-29's can report the resolution , that is if it has been fixed that would be great

I think Tomcat is on the right track. I would try his suggestions and let us know how it fares.

I just had this issue yesterday... Except everything worked fine until I tried to install a WPA patch so I could hook up to my router. Since the MK1 ProSet software supports WEP... You need the patch.

I ended up just taking out the old 2100B and installing a 600mW Engenous card. It picks up much better signals that the old B card anyway.

I know that doesn't solve your issues but I think Alex is on the right track. What you will ultimately need to do is uninstall the older ProSet driver/software and find the upgraded version and install it. It has the WPA you will want/need.

Ok i followed the driver advice and i installed the update and the newest version of the intel connect utility off intels website. I just did a search for the 2200 card and they actually had a posting about this issue. It fixed everything, I guess for some reason it just didnt like the older software. Thanks to everyone for their help, now this thing is ready for sale! Heres the link: http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-025283.htm

Talk about great timing. I was working on a image for some CF-29s we are re-deploying at work and wanted to include the wi-fi. We had been able to run WEP with no issues but upgrading to WPA2 (with newer access points) caused BSOD. Tried these drivers and presto- I look smarter than I am. Thanks.
