I did some research on this but could not find anything. I know that the CF30 isn't designed to play watch movies on, but I was wondering how long the battery would last if you were watching a DVD.

    thanks - Dominik

There are alot of variables involved with that question. Do I have my screen at 100%. Is my wireless card on, etc?

Now, here is your answer. LOL. I have watched a movie before, my drive is set to max speed, my Verizon is always on, and my screen is usually at 100%, my outlook is usually always open as well. I have never gotten less than 4.5 hours out of my battery. I run XP BTW.

If I am in a situation where I know I will need the most time from my battery, I will go into device manager and disable alot of hardware. The highest I have ever seen my battery meter is 8:50 hours.

    Hope this helps

4.5 hours at those settings is insane.

I routinely get 9-11 hours with two batteries... But that isn't running a DVD... But I usually have enough battery for two DVDs on the main battery if I watch the other settings.
