Currently I get about 4 hours of battery life with my CF30 running Debian Linux.
I'd like to get a longer battery life, are there any after market batteries that are compatible that will hold a longer charge? Any tuning I can do outside of dimming brightness to make it last longer, even at the cost of performance?

Also too a fresh battery can help. A CF-31 battery they still make new is compatible.

I have three CF-30 media bay batteries left. They don't last as long as the main battery. Right now I only get a little over a hour to a hour and half out of each of them. It's just a life cycle and age thing with them.

I bought mine new many years ago and 1 1/2 hours is all I ever could get out of them. The thing I did not like was the 30 drained that battery first and not main battery. . It would of been nice to drain the main fist so when it started to drain the other battery you could put another main in and keep on running but could not
