My MK1 had the battery refresh in the BIOS... but my MK2 doesn't seem to. Is it hidden or does it not have it?

Aaron... It is just on a different spot. As I recall the battery refresh on the 600 is on the first page of the BIOS.... On the 800 and 1000 it is on the last page... The "exit" page... At the very bottom. Poke around... You'll find it.

You'll also want to make sure that you have the latest BIOS version. V13 I believe... (Actually it looks something like V1.00013 or something like that.)

I was looking at BIOS updates but they seemed very model specific and I didn't want to break anything... where can I look for the proper newest one?

    My model is a CF-28PCJGZQM.

Ok found the refresh. Lasted about 1hr 20min.

Does the refresh stress it at all or is that just at idle? I had the keyboard at full brightness as well as the screen, but if that test doesn't work the CPU or the HDD it isn't a reaslistic battery lasting time.

    Aaron -

The "Battery Refresh" is not intended to load cycle the batteries; it is simply intended to give the laptop's APCI (power management hardware/software) a chance to "relearn" the discharge curve of a used battery so it can more accurately gage battery life for you.
