I happened to stumble upon Black Hawk Toughbooks. It looks like they sell Toughbook "stuff". I was just curious if anyone has ever heard of them or purchased anything from them?

Nope, but looked at the site.... Seems aftermarket, add-on stuff, probably no warranty, probably not OEM..... Etc.... Good luck buying from them on support... Better ones are out there for end users that are guaranteed.... :)

It is indeed "clinical", you should use your own judgement but you might search the forum for earlier discussions.

Thanks. I was advised about "their" earlier postings. Had I have known, I wouldn't even have brought them back up.

All of their stuff is made in Japan, a bunch of junk. When something goes wrong, they send you another Jap made laptop.

Thats why I joined the forum, American Made Through and Through.

    IBM and a 1994 Chevy S-10.

OMG... This is so funny! The Tough Book is the best out there! Where did that guy come from? In 1984 I was in Japan and had my first Fairlady 2+2, including my Panasonic color TV mounted right above the rear view mirror!!! Gotta love Panasonic, especially the CF 19 MK IV with windows 7, 64 Bit!!!!

    IBM WHAT? A PCjr?

Cuz they haven't been American-Made since... Now, they don't even EXIST as a PC Mfr; their product line belongs to Lenovo which is as much of an international hodgepodge as Dell is.

SO lets let this thread die like the other 4 or 5 threads on this subject and start talking about something worth talking about

I had asked the guy's here about BH, I was interested in their 29 & 30's - decided to go a different route & came out with cash to spare on my CF-30 (3000hrs). So I bought a new retail win 7 ultimate OS for it, another battery (NIB), 2 functional multimedia pocket batteries, & a like new backlit Rubber keyboard. and I still did not spend as much as I would have on a blackhawk CF-30...... :)

We mention Black Hawk because its a running joke.
    Overpriced and laughable...
The only reason BH has sold anything is because either the buyers didn't know any better or just were too lazy to look around, better deals are easy to find.
The people who know better in this forum has educated more people away from buying from BH and have given better deals and support.
    FACT!

Yeah. Clinicalbrad or whoever, he had the super stylish and totally useless rubber tire lid protector, think it might have come in shag carpet as well..
I bet his mom was pissed about that.
He spouted off, probably had too much sugar in his baby formula that day.
Got put down hard and started sending nasty and threatening emails and PMs..
    Rather humorous in his tantrums..

Well, you got me on that one. I consider myself something of a fan of outré slang, and I still hadda go look it up on UD. Fortunately, I can say with 100% honesty that the only time I've ever "tucked" was to hide a raging hard-on from my date's mother. I shouldn't have bothered... but that's another story.

It's really sad that you don't know the difference between being g@y and not caring if someone's g@y; when you grow up, I'll try and explain it to you.

Thanks for visiting; it's getting dark, you really should run along home now.

Is the swat team you are referring to the spanking type, because any law enforcement agency usually gets thier equipment new through grants and not through a ebay hack.
So I'm gonna call BS on BH.

So you wanna man up son? Be careful what you wish for..
Take your hello kitty rhinestone encrusted crap, hike up your garter belt and move along. BH is a joke..
I tell people that got suckered by your overpriced crap that they got BH alright, butt humped....

Talk is cheap kid.. 300 machines in almost two years isn't impressive.. At all.. Not for someone who talks like he supplies every govt agency he can think of.
You don't want your negative feedback or your rants posted here or on your facebook page, you know the one that has copyrighted material on it you have talen the liberty to edit.
Nobody ever said that the people who use toughbooks are using crap, only the ones that got them from BH.
Bad/missing seals, mismatched screws.. Yeah, i've seen your "work".
My daughter has a leapfrog tablet that thats more reliable than a machine from BH.
You are not even good at trolling, we have law enforcement personnel here..
    Get your facts straight.
    Just walk away....

300 units in 20 months. That's a whole .5 units a day. Wow. You are a regular CompUSA.

I did more Factory Authorized Onsite Repairs than that in the last 10 months, all by my widdle lonesome. I am an ASP for a dozen major brands, and my clients require that I am 100% Background and Drug-Tested AND Insured. I have Corporate, Industrial and Government clients, both Administrative and Military.

I wonder what your clients would see if YOU had to get a Background Check? Maybe some arrests for assault? Those few months spent in a psych ward?

From what I see here, you are the same mental case you were when I first met you; still foaming at the mouth and bloviating about your recycled laptop business and talking about yourself in the third person.

We were done bashing you ages ago; YOU came back here and resurrected a dead thread and stirred all this up, and YOU are KEEPING it stirred up. WE don't need to bash you; you're doing just fine bashing yourself. I hope you get EVERYBODY to come see what you've shown us here. You'll be lucky to not get committed for your own good.

Run along now; I think you're late for your medication.

Wow, i am a member of this nice toughbook forum for only a little while, but some topics DO get harsh. Thats sad, why cant we just all be friends. I saw some pictures of BLack Hawk toughbooks on E-bay and i have to admit, that they look cool. If they are cool is another question. They are also a bit more expensive, as the ones who dont have the black extra-covers....

As i never bought a blackhawk toughbook, nor do i know the guy who sells them, i prefer to stay as neutral as can be.

Still, its not good to flamewar.... And i aint a hippy !

While this isn't the prettiest thread on this forum, I don't mind the arguments in favor or against certain sellers and the experience members of this forum have had.
E.g. If I would have known the hongkong-joker seller had a bad reputation by selling rubber keyboards as being emissive chicklet, I wouldn't have spend $190.
Because this is now in a thread on this forum others can search for it and be warned. If this chinese seller want's to chime in and give his view of this transaction he is welcome, but I will not stop shooting holes in his reputation. So it might get ugly, but unless it turns into a swearing competition, there is nothing wrong with that.

Sir, for the record my CF-30 with all other accessories purchased cost me $900.00. Nothing you offered even came close... You stated I could have bought a CF-31 (yeah, a basic striped shell of a 31) at that price, what are You smoking? Cold hard facts, bh - I doubt you will get more business but the childish rant is what potential customers need to see so they can make an informed decision........

Good forums attract trolls who want to be more than they are..
I'm guessing he skipped his meds..
He wont sell you a system that cheap, he needs to queer it up first and thinks that demands a premium.

I know many of the newer members really don't understand why this guy ticks us off well I sent him two emails in the summer of 2010. The first one was alright but the second one was very nasty and he put down every member on the toughbook forum... we knew nothing about toughbooks is one thing he said. Anyways that thread was closed as many others were in the past, so lets let this thread die before .......well you get where its going   .

I think it might be a good idea if I PM a Mod to shut it down....yes

Just to let everyone know if you are doing a search on ebay for Black Hawk Toughbooks http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sac...oughbook&_nkwusc=black+kawk+toughbooks&_rdc=1 this is not the seller we are talking about.

    No.

Getting a thread locked is what trolls want; to them, it is a trophy. I for one have already said all I ever need to say to this guy for the rest of my life. He's just digging his own hole now; I suggest that we simply ignore him until he falls in. Again. We did it 4 months ago in this very thread, we can do it again.
