Ok. How do you turn off the irritating blue Panasonic splash screen and see the POST info?
I know it can be done. Photo is from a fleabay ad.

Don't know. Can be done on a cf19 machine ?

Doesn't that photo show that the CMOS battery is dead or missing?
No idea how to turn off the Panasonic screen, sorry...
edit: just found that hitting "esc" takes you to that screen but without the error messages, "pause" stops it going to the boot menu.
I know that's not what you're looking to do but I just learned something and wanted to show off -
The esc key works on my CF30, but no joy on my CF52.

I think the only reason you are getting that is because of the cmos battery is dead. To turn off the "Panasonic" splash screen I think you can follow this info from here... See #11 The SSD Optimization Guide Redesigned - The SSD Review

It was on my 52 that I tried it out but mine's a Mk.1 basic - maybe different bios to yours? Dunno...
I thought I'd misunderstood and that you were probably looking for a way to skip the splash screen by default. -
That photo is NOT my machine. I just posted that to prove that it can be done. I just can't make it happen on my CF52 mk2. CF52GCBEAM
I Do NOT want to see the Giant Panasonic Logo. I am old school and want to see the text of the POST report. Especially while I am trying to figure out the lockups during my 2nd hard drive testing.
If the only way to force the verbose text on my CF52 mk2 is disconnect the cmos battery, then I may put a switch in.
The msconfig tweak will speed things up, but this is the POST (power on self test) of the bios. It's way before windows starts.

Thanks Jeff.
That is cool. -
I have been wanting to see if I could mod mine. On my Mk2 I am ordering some of that white vinal wrap for the lid, then putting this on the middle of it.

Color white and black.
The start button has been changed to that logo, background and all computer maker info in windows 7 has been changed to that also.
Now IF I could just get the boot screen changed to that it would double rock. -
Ah ah, Ador, are you a fan of HL ?

Here are 2 pages to check out.

Windows 7 Logon Background Changer
Additional: I just tried these both and they do work nicely. The logon changer comes up with an error. Simple fix is the permissions needs changed for 1 folder.

Very good information.

The windows long on screen has long been changed, the boot screen was what I was talking about.
I never played portal till a couple of months ago, I still haven't played half life yet. Got a copy of it, just haven't had time between the projects and the kids.
Didn't see the quick boot manager for my model. Even for the 19 I only seen it for the Mk5 and Mk6 -
The coderforlife changes the Windows boot screen. (animated windows starting) Not the Bios Panasonic one. I even found the animation you are looking for.

Working on checking them now. See how it is. I found a theme pack someone made and have been using it on the CF-30 Mk2. I think I will try the one you sent on the CF-U1.

Thanks again. -
This speeds things up a little bit. It says 9 seconds. I'm not sure about that, but it did help. That's on my CF52 mk2. I will try it on my CF30 next. I will do a before and after time maybe.
I unpacked with 7zip and ran install to avoid the "not for your model" warnings.

Figured some of them would swap like that, have to check it out when I get home on my spare 19 Mk1.
