so we have a Bluetooth fingerprint scanner that we had running on a old cf-31 MK1 just fine

got it paired, using some Toshiba software, which was easy to use

Now, I am trying to get the same on the MK5 cf-31--which apparently uses Intel Bluetooth, or Intel software

I *think* I got it connected, but its not working with our software--its showing up in "printers and devices", but there is not much I can do with it in there (settings, etc)

The old laptop had some Toshiba software we configured/paired with and worked fine.

    any thoughts?

Not an answer......more of a comment.
31S/U use different Bluetooth drivers then the earlier Marks.....I was watching it load and overwrite whatever was on there in the recovery section of bios on a new to me computer I acquired yesterday. < this is a statement. :)

The comment > Make sure the MK5 has a clean device manager. If it was me I would cycle the bluetooth on and off in bios and also do a battery pull reset. < Ended up as two comments. <

    More ideas come....coffee kicking in....
    1. Possibly install a bluetooth card from a CF-31 Mark 1.....
    2. Since the "new" bluetooth receiver is on the Intel Wireless card. (Is this correct?)
    3. Could it be a power management issue?

I see the device in "devices and printers" it just seems like its not connecting/talking when we try to use it....very odd

fired up the old pc, works fine/paired (but NOT showing in devices and printers) maybe because the Toshiba software...

sez Generic Bluetooth adaptor...its whatever came with the mk5.
    driver says generic Bluetooth.

I have run the panny BT install drivers for this.

update: the panny/intel package failed during setup--seems to default to generic
    and restarting/uninstalling and trying again

got it to install the intel drivers-- dosent say generic anymore.
funny thing is, I had to go back one version-- newest version crashes on install.

    may try to download again

its odd because it seems the DRIVER is there, but no real software that shows "connected" and such

What I have done...and am doing right now in fact is to install the driver bundle from Panasonic over the top of the Windows install. Yesterday CF-31S and in a minute CF-19 MK2. Because why is that I don't have a handle on what was done before. I was seeing mk4 and mk5 packages and drivers. Whether they were being used or not I haven't the faintest.
I'm having issues with a gobi card and hope this helps.
