    Go into bios.
On exit page it has boot override.
Select your usb and press enter. This will force system to boot from USB.
Also make sure USB is enabled as a boot option or it will not appear in the boot override.

Load bios defaults assuming it's not an M bios then turn off uefi boot.

M2 is custom bios and probably has the usb and dvd boot disabled. Might be able to take the hard drive, install windows on another pc,switch it back and hope it works. Just do a basic install and dont let it load a bunch of drivers. I have done that several times.

What OS boot is on the USB stick?
How did you create the USB stick? Rufus works best.

    Two things to try.

Use a USB 2 port instead of a USB 3 port. I have had troubles in the past trying to boot from USB 3

Create a USB stick with UEFI boot. See if that will work.

Another way if still having problems is to use another TB (19,30,52,53) and install Linux on alternate machine.
Then put / transfer that working Linux district into your 54 caddy.

I had trouble booting from usb before selling my 54.
I would keep trying each USB port available,
But not until you can verify that the Linux image you burned is in fact a working bootable usb drive.
Do you have another PC you can use and try downloading the bootable image?
