Can I boot from a USB drive if I have a CF-29, 1.3GHz with no HDD, DVD or floppy drive?

    Thanks

Keep in mind that most CF-29's only have the one USB port and most USB thumb drives won't fit in there ... So you need a USB hub or extension cable ... Or boot from an external hard drive.

I am trying to figure out which usb boot option in the bios is needed to boot from a usb stick ??

Also, what is the performance increase if I have the OS run from a usb stick vs runnning from the hard drive?

My CF-29 mark 4 also has the SD-card option. Is it possible to boot from an SDHC memory card ? That would be real fun !

I don't think there will be much of a performance increase. The speed will be limited by USB port speed and class of the flash drive.
