I can't stop playing with my toughbook :D . The first one I spent a lot of time working on getting windows 7 installed. Pretty much got everything working besides the graphics driver and function keys. Only disappointing thing was the touchscreen didn't work :(.

    I picked up this: TOUGHBOOK CF-29 1.6GHZ 80GB 1.5G TOUCHSCREEN BACKLIT - eBay (item 230593770075 end time Mar-09-11 19:43:13 PST)

Price point was high I think for a CF-29, but this one is mint condition and the seller was extremely responsive with all the questions I had. I paid $575 with shipping. Unit only has 1310 hours on it and fully loaded excluding GPS and Carrier Modem. It has the rubber backlit keys and 1.5gb ram, 80 gb hd and 5 hour battery. Seller said there is no signs of use and no scuffs. So I'm excited to get this one. I will leave the XP pro alone on this model. I only installed 7 as my current machine came with no Operating system and I had a resellers copy on hand. I couldn't believe he also had CF-29's that only had around 500 hours in mint condition.

    what do you guys think?

I like, not cheap but not a scratch, in mint original condition
The only thing I would change ,if you are not using it outdoors ,is the keyboard to the hard key backlit

I was doing some search regarding the rubber keyboard on this site and from what I read its not good for continuous typing. So the emissive backlit is what I should get right. I saw some on ebay and there not cheap nor is the rubber. Maybe I can sell my rubber and get some money back :D . (flamesuit on) Now do i need a new bezel?

Not sure if it can be modded , it's best to sell with the keyboard so that the buyer has the right one

I will pm you on the keyboard
