I picked up a CF19 the other day and I have a lighted rubber KB for it. Searched the archives for install tips but no joy. Anybody got any input/help for the install? Not really warming up to the little thing yet. Weill see how it goes. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

This site is hosted privately; I downloaded a few of the manuals listed there one right after another and got my connection reset repeatedly afterwards.

I've looked at the parent webpage; he has a lot of material on current models by many popular brands, not just ToughBooks. He also has a nice cache of drivers as well that he's made available to the public. This Tim fellow seems to not mind helping people out; just don't be a leech and only take what you NEED.

He asks that you drop him an eMail if his material has helped you out letting him know what you were working on and how you fixed it and a donation if you can do it; that is indeed a small price to pay for the material he hosts, even if you can find it elsewhere.

Hope the sheep don't get him...

Its the same procedure on cf-18. The rubber keyboard only has one extra ribbon cable for backlite while the standard has only one. Its pretty easy just do it with a bit caution and your good to go.

Went to the site Mnementh suggested and the CF-19 manual has a keyboard removal page. Not as clear as I would like it but it should be fine.
Thanks everyone for the great backup.
