Checking Ebay, I find there are at least two different models of CD/DVD drive module for CF-31's. Mine has an empty bay. I don't really think an aux battery module there is particularly useful (how good is the battery management for the Panasonic genuine aux battery unit?).

So, CF-VDM311U and CF-VDM312U are the product codes I'm seeing.

Anyway I know a lot of you have had CF-31's much longer than me so what do you folks find is the most practical use for the MP bay? Aux battery, or a CD/DVD drive?

    Craig.

I have both. Also a DVD caddy that I pulled the DVD and put in a Blu-ray drive.

    Hi Shawn,
Which Blu-Ray do you recommend? I have a CF-31 mk4 performance model and an extra VDM112 DVD.
    Thanks.

Not to pressure ... but have you had a chance to look up a particular make/model?
    Thanks
