    Just found this
    (http)://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=190267068402
    on fleabay.
Vendor says its a docking station for the CF 27, but it doesn't look like anything in the pix I can find. Any ideas what it really is?
( Sorry -forum won't let me post live link).

It looks as if half of it is missing or something.

It looks like a special unit. I can see the rear connector for the back of the Toughbook and some sort of antenna pass through. It is not a standard Panasonic dock.

Oh.. I've got one of those. It came in a custom suitcase CF27 "package", bundled with a printer and presumably some data-entry device (keypad?) that had already been removed. It was a very professional package overall, just pretty much useless to anyone other than the original customer.

That little box is a port expander that plugs into the docking station connector.. I'm pretty sure I've still got it and I'll send it to you if you want it. It probably has little value other than a curiosity and I would not recommend buying one of them off ebay.

    Cheers chaps.
The reason I enquired in the first place was because it looked sort of clunky and non-OEM. If it came out of one of those "CF 27-inna -suitcase" rigs, that explains it.
Best keep me pennies in me pocket, then...

The circuitry in the box is very professional.. It may have been done by Matsu****a. I'll have to take a pic of it and post it.
