Thanks in advance on this one...I got a couple of 600 mhz 28's and they both have the daughter board in them with the blue wire attached to the sierra card on it. Two questions, 1. Is the daughterboard able to be used for any other applications ( such as wi fi)? 2. Is the blue wire attached to the sierra card the same as the one that goes to the Cisco wifi Card in the hidden pcmcia slot on other machines?
I mainly got these for the combo drives and hard drive caddies but still I don't want to throw away anything usefull. Thanks again,Travis

We use the daughter cards as an interface between our GPS engines and the computer, so it has some value to someone who is still using a CF-28 and wants internal GPS.

If yer gonna scrap em, the displays can be used with the CF-28 Mk2/Mk3; of course, the 12" displays (especially the transflective ones) are pretty poor contrast/color... also, good source of doors for the later models.
