    CF 28 XP clean install

    CF 28 loaded with Windows 2k. I have a OEM XP with COA. I am getting a error with doing the clean install of XP

    Line 22 of the INF file \$WIN_NT$.~BT\winnt.sif is invalid


    I don't need to save any data on the HD. So Im thinking that a reformat of the HD is in order. I have the drivers for my CF-28S3QGBDM.

    Can someone assist with the reformating of the 30g HD?

    if you can boot from cd, it will give you the option to format the hard drive. quick format and "regular" format.

    Thats just it .... This error happens before I get to that point in the install. So Im kind of in a corner on this one.

    Try a different o/s cd
    You only need to boot and do a format, then try the xp disk
    Check in the bios that the cd drive is first in boot order
